"Guatemala Romantica" is a project event that has the support of the International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals. The project is to bring the best 50 wedding planners and specialized travel agents from the United States and Canada. The primary purpose is to promote Guatemala as a wedding destination to stakeholders from the United States and Canada.
This project also certifies Guatemalan companies that provide services for foreign weddings as well as an educational program with workshops and seminars to update on the main trends and resolve challenges in the industry.
Due to the pandemic, virtual activities were carried out and innovated. The main objective was to promote and develop businesses with a low budget.
Planned and carried out representation of the private tourism sector of Guatemala at international trades around the world, B2B and B2C operations Developed partnerships with Guatemalan Embassies and consulates abroad Led public relations with the private sector (Tour Operators, hotels, travel agencies) to improve the country’s goals Handled negotiation with international suppliers, hotels, venues, and other travel services
Leveraged confidential, one-on-one counseling and coaching to business owners to more than 48 MSMEs from different industries.
This counseling was in Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala.
